The Muse Aurora

I have composed snippets of verse for as long as I can remember. My mother kept the 'cards' I had given her and my dad: crayon scrawls on notebook or construction paper, simple but rhythmic and rhyming. Through the years, my writing habits, my inspired seasons, have been erratic. I allowed life to keep me too busy to write as a habit, accumulating journals of "scribbles", snippets of brilliance amounting to nothing. The passion for manipulating the word will not be denied for long. In my case, when I neglected completing A Work - The Work, my brain seemed to overflow with words until I had no choice but to sit and write: flowing, the words cascading from my brain - through my arm, to the pen, on the page. In the past several years, I have attained a more spiritual plane. I meditate and I pray and I am mused: all experiences equally sacred. It seems inspiration is divine if it, in turn, inspires and offers positive energy. She is The Muse Aurora. She's as real anything, in her influence. Her love is tough, and she will not be denied.
